Project Engineer

Direct Hire Opportunity | Full-Time

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and day-to-day project execution.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Support material procurement and monitor delivery schedules.
  • Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, and budget reporting.
  • Perform jobsite visits to support quality control, documentation, and project progress.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 1–3 years of construction experience or relevant internship preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling software is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
