Job Summary

Seeking a professional, VA DCJS licensed Armed Security Officer to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe and secure environment. You will patrol assigned premises; protect assets, staff, and the general public; deter any illegal or inappropriate activity; respond to emergencies and summon proper authorities as required. The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security.

Responsibilities

Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility.
Monitor entrances and exits to ensure guests, and patrons access the site in accordance with policies.
Remove trespassers when necessary.
Respond to inquiries from general public.
Respond to reports of suspicious activity.
Complete daily activity reports and document any incidents.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is required
Valid VA Department of Criminal Justice armed security registration required
High school diploma/GED
Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
Strong written communication skills and report writing ability
High level of integrity and professionalism
Attention to detail and strong observational skills
Ability to work without direct supervision
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.

Compensation

Full Time Employees (40 Hrs.)

- 50K/year with Health Benefits.
- 1 week vacation after 1 year of employment; 2 weeks after 2 years of employment

Part-Time Employees (30 Hrs. or less)

- $23/Hour (no health benefits or vacation)
