- Ensure a safe working environment through daily walkthroughs, hazard identification, and adherence to safety protocols.Â
- Lead and execute daily facilities maintenance and sanitation operations across the site.Â
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of building infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.Â
- Own MaintainX ticket management — ensuring timely assignment, execution, closure, and system accuracy of all work orders.Â
- Execute and manage preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring all PM tasks are completed on time and documented.Â
- Ensure sanitation and cleaning programs are executed consistently and meet site, quality, and regulatory standards.Â
- Maintain and update SOPs for facilities and sanitation processes.Â
- Supervise, schedule, and support the daily activities of facilities and sanitation personnel.Â
- Assign and prioritize work orders, repairs, and PM activities in coordination with the Facilities Manager and Director of Operations.Â
- Maintain critical spare parts, maintenance supplies, and sanitation inventory.Â
- Manage attendance tracking for facilities team and execute required actions in accordance with company policy.Â
- Support maintenance and sanitation budget tracking and cost control as directed by the Director of Operations.Â
- Identify and implement efficiency and reliability improvements across facility operations.Â
- Respond to facility issues and urgent maintenance needs after hours, on weekends, or on holidays as required.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
- Strong hands-on working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems — with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues directly.Â
- Working knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair. (Electrical certification preferred)
- Â Demonstrated experience with commercial HVAC systems, including diagnostics and maintenance. (HVAC Certification preferred)
- Experience with CMMS/work order management systems (MaintainX preferred).Â
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Â
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.Â
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.Â
- Associate’s degree or trade certification in a relevant field preferred.Â
- Equivalent combination of work and education experience accepted.Â
- 5–7 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, preferably in agriculture, biotech, cannabis, or regulated manufacturing.Â
- Journeyman electrician license or equivalent electrical experience strongly preferred.Â
- Experience supervising facilities or maintenance teams.Â
- Sitting, standing, and walking motion/movement required throughout the shift.Â
- Frequently ascends/descends a ladder and uses scissor lift to inspect/maintain equipment.Â
- Occasionally works in outside conditions including exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.Â
- Occasional lifting, positioning, or moving items up to 100 pounds.Â
