About the Role:
Lifetime Family Medicine LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our outpatient family practice team in Gainesville, VA. Responsibilities:
- Room patients and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist physicians and providers with examinations and outpatient procedures
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy as directed
- Manage and document accurate patient records using EHR/EMR systems
- Prepare and sterilize exam rooms and medical equipment between patient visits
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up communications
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care instructions
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)Â
- Prior experience in a family practice or outpatient clinical setting is a plus
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR platforms (Athena Health preferred) and general clinical documentation
- Strong clinical skills including injections and vital signs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
