Operations & Plans Specialist 

Marine Corps University (MCU) / College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) 

Location: Quantico, VA 

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Security Clearance: Secret (Tier 3) 

This position is contingent upon contract award.

 

Hatalom Corporation is seeking an Operations & Plans Specialist to support Marine Corps University (MCU) and Education Command (EDCOM). This position provides operational planning, coordination, and analytical support to ensure the successful execution of organizational initiatives, training events, and strategic planning efforts. This position is contingent upon award. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Develop, maintain, and update operational plans supporting organizational goals and mission requirements. 
  • Coordinate with department leads to support strategic planning and execution of initiatives. 
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and status updates on operational activities, resource utilization, and risks. 
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Support planning and execution of exercises, training events, and contingency operations. 
  • Coordinate planning meetings, prepare agendas, document action items, and track follow-up activities. 
  • Maintain operational schedules, milestones, and planning documentation. 
  • Prepare after-action reports that capture lessons learned and recommendations for continuous improvement. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Military Studies, or a related field. 
  • Three (3) years of experience in operations, planning, program management, or organizational support. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing preparation. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Active Secret (Tier 3) Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government organizations. 
  • Experience with operational planning, military exercises, or training event coordination. 
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps staff processes and planning methodologies.
