Are you passionate about sourcing the best materials efficiently while building strong supplier partnerships? At Kubota, our Purchasing Analysts play a pivotal role in ensuring we procure quality parts and materials economically to support our innovative products and production goals.

What You’ll Do:

As a Purchasing Analyst, you will be at the heart of Kubota’s supply chain success. Your key responsibilities include:

New Model & Sourcing Execution

  • Lead exciting new model sourcing projects—from identifying suppliers and analyzing pricing to supporting design reviews and tooling development.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate supplier proposals, and recommend the best sourcing strategies.
  • Visit suppliers regularly to assess capabilities, review quality, delivery, and cost (QCD) performance, and uncover new sourcing opportunities aligned with our business objectives.

Supplier Management & Performance

  • Monitor supplier performance continuously, ensuring timely delivery, top-notch quality, and competitive costs.
  • Help onboard new suppliers, verify qualifications, and ensure they comply with Kubota’s procurement standards.
  • Solve supply chain challenges proactively by expediting critical components and collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams like Quality, Planning, and R&D.

Cost Management & Negotiation

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through value analysis and skillful negotiation.
  • Manage pricing agreements and maintain up-to-date price records.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and supply risks to keep purchasing strategies sharp and responsive.

Data Integrity & Systems Management

  • Keep our ERP/MRP systems accurate and current with purchasing data, supplier info, and cost files.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators like cost savings and supplier delivery.
  • Support audits and compliance efforts to ensure procurement excellence.

Inventory & Production Support

  • Optimize inventory levels by reviewing safety stock and lead times.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional meetings to align purchasing with production and engineering changes.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
  • A commitment to quality and technical knowledge related to the commodities you’ll manage.
  • Experience building relationships and making informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and a solid understanding of purchasing principles.
  • Familiarity with Kubota products and markets is a plus.
  • Previous purchasing or buying experience is highly valued.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant purchasing experience.
  • Equivalent job-related experience, military service, or certifications are also considered.
