JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for larger, more complex projects or multiple projects, with support from management staff. They are responsible for all aspects of the project(s), including project team performance, cost, quality, schedule, and safety. They maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants, and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission, and core values.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • 8+ years of experience in Commercial Construction Project Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field (strongly preferred).
  • OSHA certification (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a project team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Project Manager provides overall leadership to the entire project team, ensuring alignment with CPPI’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Manage all aspects of projects, including profitability, schedule adherence, conformance to specifications and drawings, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and key stakeholders to develop project plans, means and methods, recordkeeping, and schedule monitoring.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop assigned staff to maximize performance and career growth.
  • Oversee project estimating, buyout, budgeting, and scheduling in coordination with the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, subcontractors, clients, consultants, vendors, and the public.
  • Understand, administer, and enforce contract and subcontract agreements.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement project schedules, ensuring adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and control project budgets using industry-standard methods, including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Manage Quality Assurance / Quality Control programs to ensure high standards.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions, and value engineering.
  • Process change orders, negotiating scope, cost, and schedule impacts.
  • Develop recovery strategies when project schedules or budgets are at risk.
  • Manage all facets of project close-out, including document archiving, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
  • Complete full project estimates, including reviewing specs, performing take-offs, compiling subcontractor quotes, and writing estimates.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reductions, increased profitability, and process improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and the current marketplace to sustain competitive advantage.
  • Work effectively within a collaborative team environment, encouraging participation from all tiers of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
