About the Role:

Job Summary

The RN Data Analyst performs routine data analysis, working with various data sets focused on quality and safety. Will analyze large volumes of data, develop and deliver data reports, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.  Responsible for submission of data to designated databases, creating and populating quality dashboards, participating in process improvement projects associated with quality metrics, and working collaboratively with nursing leaders to perform detailed case reviews related to nursing care.    
 

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.

  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital-based nursing as an RN. Proficient computer skills in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. 

  • Other: Professional organization membership within three months of hire into the role.

  • Must possess excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, and time-management skills

  • Maintains thorough understanding of the dynamics of major healthcare industry trends to support the integrated analysis of performance results against goals and targets

  • Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, ability to promote collaboration and teamwork among nursing and interdisciplinary colleagues, and exceptional passion for customer service

  • Knowledge of performance improvement tools and methodologies

  • Highly skilled in internet, electronic health record systems, and Microsoft Office
     

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Production, analysis, and presentation of relevant nursing quality data to key individuals, committees, and leaders and provides guidance in opportunities for improvement.

  • Production of various quality reports and information.

  • Works in close partnership with other departments to prepare and meet requirements of DNV and other regulatory agencies.

  • Promotes effective communication by utilizing multiple forums and strategies to reach all staff.

  • Collects process and outcomes data from a variety of sources; chart review, computer generated reports, variance reports, and observation to provide accurate and consistent information for review and assessment of clinical services, measures, and outcomes.

  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives and analyzes implications of data.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards.

  • Familiar with Georgia Board of Nursing rules, laws, policies, and regulations.

  • Works with nursing leaders when trends are identified and facilitates performance improvement processes.
