School Age Bus Driver
The Learning Experience – Bristow is seeking a reliable and safety-focused School Age Bus Driver to support transportation for our before- and after-school childcare program. This role is responsible for safely transporting children to and from local schools while also supporting a positive and structured environment for school-age students.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and values safety, consistency, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport school-age children to and from local elementary schools
- Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain transportation logs
- Ensure children are safely loaded, secured, and supervised during transportation
- Maintain compliance with all transportation safety procedures and licensing requirements
- Support school-age classrooms and activities between transportation runs as needed
- Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and center leadership
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with children and team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Prior childcare experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
- Experience driving children or passengers preferred
- Strong reliability, communication, and supervision skills
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing and transportation requirements
