Pelican Pete’s is a well-loved tiki-style restaurant on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA. At Pelican Pete’s, we’re all about having a good time. As Lake Lanier’s only floating tiki bar and restaurant, we offer a one-of-a-kind waterfront experience featuring unbeatable lake views, live music, and some of the best food and drinks on the lake. Centered around good food, good drinks, and good times, Pelican Pete’s continues to be a favorite gathering place for locals and visitors alike.   


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
  • Scoop and serve ice cream, gelato, or frozen desserts according to portion standards.
  • Prepare cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes, and other menu items accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, including utensils, scoops, and serving areas.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Restock supplies, toppings, and cones as needed throughout the shift.
  • Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately at the register.
  • Monitor inventory and communicate shortages to management.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and sanitation.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, complaints, or special requests.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum age of 16 and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
