Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Store 30 - Gainesville, GA 30507Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: AnyJob Category: RetailUnder regular supervision, the Store Manager is responsible for the operation of a convenience store.  Emphasis is placed on maintaining operational procedures, customer service, and store conditions.  Store Manager reports to the Territory Manager.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manages the activities of the Assistant Store Manager, Guest Service Representatives, and in certain cases, stock personnel or baker. Completes daily reports, enters information in to the computer and transmits to corporate office daily. Provide excellent customer service. Keep accurate cash control and is accountable for cash variances. Verifies all cash accounting forms daily. Orders merchandise and maintains adequate inventories. Makes price changes to merchandise and gasoline according to merchandising direction. Schedules employees in compliance with budget hours. Responsible for all shifts being properly staffed. With the assistance of the Territory Manager, screen and hire personnel. Prepares and updates time cards/sheets weekly. Maintains build-up books to ensure that inventory is maintained at acceptable level at all times. Check in vendors. Make bank deposits daily. Trains new employees and ensures they are knowledgeable of their duties. Collects and turns in to corporate on a daily basis, all credit card vouchers. Completes, enters into the computer and transmits grocery orders on a weekly basis. Verifies merchandise coupons on a daily basis. Verifies that prices generated by vendors are accurate. Maintains and verifies inventory control system for cigarettes, lottery tickets, etc. Verifies, on a daily basis, that money orders sold equal money received. Verifies, on a daily basis, that lottery “scratch off” tickets sold equal amount that inventory level call for. Performs weekly and end of the month fast food inventory. Maintains good store conditions and overall property conditions by cleaning and performing general housekeeping duties such as cleaning bathroom, sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Ensure shelves and coolers are stocked daily or as needed . Store-related equipment utilized in the performance of job duties includes a gas console, pricing machine, money order machine, manual and electronic credit card machines, cash register, lottery machine, and check reader machine. Office equipment utilized in the performance of job duties includes a personal computer, calculator, camera system, and safe. Gasoline survey to be completed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and whenever prices change. Surveys to be called in to the appropriate person at the home office. Monthly gasoline stick readings/verifications of these readings entered on auto-send call-ins. Completes daily video viewing log. Makes sure store is secure if alarm company calls. QualificationsEducation and experience High school degree or equivalent with up to 1-year work experience in store operations or any equivalent training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job. Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Must possess familiarity with basic operation procedures. Be able to professionally handle multiple job tasks in an unpredictable work environment. Possess the ability to deal with the public in a professional manner. Be detailed oriented to ensure accuracy of paperwork. Create and maintain a positive work setting. Working Conditions Retail environment with exposure to some discomforting conditions, including cold temperatures when working in the cooler.
