About the Role:
Job Summary
The NGPG Clinic Staff RN, utilizes the nursing process to access, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients. Processes and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures for the competent delivery of nursing care. The NGPG Clinic Staff RN consistently provides effective direct care, collaborating with other healthcare team members in response to patient and family needs for a variety of  patients. The NGPG Clinic Staff RN, complies with standards of practice; coordinates patient care activities; manages supplies and equipment; and collaborates with other healthcare team members in response to patient and family needs. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. Â

Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications: Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Educational Requirements: Associates Degree.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Assesses the patient’s physical and emotional needs and provides appropriate care and intervention.
Performs the initial assessment upon patient’s arrival and develops a plan of care in collaboration with the physician.
Performs ongoing assessment and communicates assessment and plan of care through written documentation and verbal reports.
Documents nursing interventions and implements physician’s orders in a timely manner.
Correctly administers and documents medication regime.
Organizes patient care and demonstrates ability to set priorities by addressing acute needs first and implementing physicians’ orders within appropriate time frame.
Serves as clinical resource for MOA’s and other non-licensed staff.
Complies with network drills, CPR requirements, and any other NGPG or health system requirements.
Helps to build and maintain staff morale by presenting a positive attitude, professional communication and respect for the providers, staff and management.
Acts rapidly in acute or unusual situations according to NGPG departmental procedures.
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the patient.
Recognizes, reports, and documents significant changes in the patient's condition in a timely and accurate manner. Reports changes in the patient's condition and/or inappropriate patient response to the physician promptly.
Prioritizes patient problems appropriately as evidenced by immediate attention to those with actual or potential urgency.
Demonstrates knowledge of documentation requirements for all procedures, medications and interventions.
Performs satisfactory in mock codes and other emergency preparedness drills or events.Â
Collaborates with Practice Manager and physicians concerning patient care and/or unit needs.
Supervises and ensures completion of task assigned to ancillary/support staff.
Appropriately delegates tasks to ensure the patients needs are met timely and accurately.
Clearly and compassionately communicates information to the patient and the patient's family as appropriate.
