Job Description

 

About the Team: The Supply Chain Supervisor – Logistics is responsible for leading the development and execution of material planning, customer logistics planning, and production scheduling activities through complex demand forecasting, high-level process improvements and project management methods in order to support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers.

 

What you can look forward to as a Supply Chain Supervisor: 

  • Lead the execution of activities related to material planning, production scheduling, and inside sales; ensure that these functions are completed on-time and satisfy the customer demand requirements, while optimizing production output and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
  • Provides tactical planning support to production leadership. Develops and maintains a production schedule for the shop to adhere to and acts as shop floor back up as directed.
  • Understand production forecasts, identify areas of opportunity in the planning process, and create production reports to ensure schedules are executed properly; complete complex demand forecasting for material plans based upon production/customer demand forecasts and overall operational capacity.
  • Schedule production and production personnel according to manufacturing priorities and to resolve issues surrounding capacity constraints or components as needed; support supervisor functions as needed from a scheduling or planning-related capacity.
  • Serve as the escalation point for production supervisors when issues regarding material availability and/or production scheduling arise; notify senior management of expedite needs regarding shipments.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor SAP parameters required for material planning and inventory control; review and monitor stock levels, customer orders, purchase order dates, production control performance metrics, relevant KPIs, vendor performance, and implement measures for improvement as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors for material orders and to resolve obstacles that impede production; communicate with purchasing regarding material supply issues.

 

Your profile as a Supply Chain Supervisor:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 4+ years of professional experience (including internship/co-op experience) working in logistics and/or related supply chain management position.
  • Strong knowledge of plant logistics procedures/processes.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – particularly Power BI and Excel.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data and supply chain-related processes.
  • Proven ability to lead and direct the work of others in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management.
  • Solid organization and time/project management skills.
