Position Summary: Development Manager to lead our fundraising and development initiatives. This role is crucial in advancing our mission by securing resources and fostering strong relationships within the community.

Essential Duties:
• Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to meet organizational goals.
• Manage relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders to foster engagement and support.
• Plan and execute events that promote the organization’s mission and increase visibility.
• Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce and Raiser's Edge for data collection, relationship management, and reporting.
• Conduct research to identify potential funding sources and grant opportunities.
• Write compelling grant proposals and funding requests to secure financial support.
• Oversee budgeting for development projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Implement digital marketing strategies, including email marketing through platforms like Mailchimp and Constant Contact.
• Manage social media accounts to promote events, campaigns, and organizational updates.
• Collaborate with team members on public relations efforts to enhance the organization’s image.
• Provide training and support for volunteers involved in fundraising activities.
Position Requirements:
• Proven experience in nonprofit management or development roles with a focus on fundraising.
• Strong skills in event planning, proposal writing, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in databases and CRM software; experience with Salesforce and Raiser's Edge is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful relationship management.
• Familiarity with wills, trusts & estate law is a plus.
• Experience in digital marketing strategies including email marketing and social media management.
• Strong research capabilities to identify funding opportunities and trends in the nonprofit sector.
• University experience is highly desirable; familiarity with volunteer management is also beneficial.
