POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is an integral part of the Human Resources function at Interfaith Works (IW). This person has knowledge of all HR functions and is the point person for payroll processing and employee benefits including retirement plans and health benefits. This position has no direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer all of IW's employee benefits, including 403b, and Open Enrollment for medical and supplemental benefits.
- Monitor and approve employee leave requests in iSolved, IW's HRIS system.
- Administer FMLA and ADA processes, reviewing and approving leave and accommodation requests while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws.
- Track Workers' Compensation claims, keeping the Director abreast of new claims and subsequent hearings, following up with employee's post-incident to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support the yearly performance review process by opening and closing performance reviews, sending reminders to managers and supervisors, and assessing performance review data.
- Administer employee engagement surveys and analyze the data to assess organizational trends
- Serve as the primary payroll administrator, processing the biweekly payroll.
- Work in collaboration with the Chief of Staff to maintain the organization's liability insurance.
- Serve as a resource and support to IW employees, fielding HR calls and answering HR-related questions employees may have.
- Monitor the shared HR email inbox with the Human Resources Coordinator.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- At least three years of Human Resources experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
