Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support for GMP, including but not limited to NIAID system updates and workload assignments/distribution, and support for grants administration to assist GMP in meeting all required business management actions including those that impact clinical research. These may include but are not limited to review of draft initiatives and applications. Keep abreast of NIH and NIAID policies or guidance, or applicable laws and regulations, including those that impact clinical research. Participate in meetings/updates. Coordinate with GMP and DEA to plan, draft, recommend, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) or internal guidance associated with the business management aspects of the grants process and applicable policies and regulations, NIH staff guidance, etc. These will include SOPs and guidance involving grants with clinical research. Assist GMP with drafting and maintaining terms of award, managing GMP internal online resources, drafting guidance and emails for NIAID staff, and preparing presentations. These include terms of award and resources for awards with human subjects and clinical trial research. Assist GMP with preparing responses to NIH and other requests for information. Assist GMP with scheduling internal training and coordinating with staff to ensure presentations are approved by GMP management in advance. Manage closeout process by overseeing closeouts and closeout reporting, which requires but is not limited to communicating with GMP staff, grant recipients, NIAID program divisions, and OPERA.
