As Field Medical Director, Pathologist (Breast) for the Mid-West US, you will lead external engagement with pathologists and professional societies, translate evidence into practice-focused education, and surface insights that sharpen our medical strategy. Your work will influence testing quality and consistency, reduce barriers to biomarker adoption, and help ensure the right patients receive the right therapy at the right time.

This is a field-based role with regional scope. Your impact will be measured in how pathologists learn, collaborate, and implement diagnostic standards that elevate patient care.

Accountabilities

  • External Pathologist Engagement: Build, own, and advance relationships with regional and national experts in breast pathology to inform practice and amplify evidence-based diagnostics.

  • Diagnostics Education: Recommend, develop, and deliver targeted, diagnostics-focused educational content for HCPs—primarily pathologists—to drive high-quality, appropriate biomarker testing.

  • Medical Insights Generation: Run advisory boards, workshops, and peer-to-peer forums to capture pathology-driven insights that directly shape US Medical Diagnostics plans.

  • Cross-Functional Planning: Collaborate with internal partners to align and execute integrated medical tactical and strategic plans in support of the breast oncology pipeline, ensuring clear links to patient outcomes.

  • Biomarker Adoption Leadership: Identify barriers to testing and lead solution-oriented initiatives that improve access, implementation, and utilization across clinical laboratories and care sites.

  • Society Participation and Thought Leadership: Participate in education programs with Regional and National Pathology societies to broaden reach and accelerate best-practice dissemination.

  • Scientific and Competitive Expertise: Maintain deep, current knowledge of diagnostics, biomarkers, and the competitive landscape to guide credible, compliant scientific exchange.

  • Compliance and Governance: Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements while modeling high scientific and ethical standards across engagements.

  • Regional Impact and Metrics: Prioritize high-value opportunities within the Mid-West US, track outcomes, and continuously refine plans to maximize clinical and business impact.
