Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Pharmaceutical Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor alarm panels and access control systems, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. Using computer or tablet tools, you will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture built on integrity and innovation.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, laboratories, office areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations according to site protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
