Description:

Performs patient care and lab duties delegated by the RN or Provider, as well as data collection, data entry, analysis, and generation of reports at one of six Montgomery County Health Centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Rooms patients; take vitals
  • Provides EKG testing support
  • Assistance with medication management
  • Perform phlebotomy functions
  • Screening for social needs
  • Be a part of the treatment and education of diabetes, nutrition, high blood pressure, cardiovascular wellness and weight control and other low acuity illnesses

What you will need:

Required:

  • Medical Assistant diploma from a medical assistant education program and/or high school diploma
  • National certification from an accredited organization (such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA)
  • Current C.P.R. certification issued through American Heart Association
  • Medical or patient care experience in a health center or hospital setting as demonstrated through clinical hours or prior work experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft products and email. Experience with EHR software and EPIC a plus.

Pay Range: $18.78 - $26.29

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Preferred:

  • Excellent phlebotomy and EKG skills
