About the Role:
A Place At Home Towson is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to join our growing team in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals who need support to live comfortably and independently at home. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety at home
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Assist with medication reminders and daily living activities
- Transport or accompany clients to appointments and errands as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Home Care Aide, CNA, PCA, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
- Valid Maryland state certification or eligibility to obtain one is a plus
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a genuine passion for helping others
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
