Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Floor Technician / Site Supervisor to join our operations team in a hybrid role combining fieldwork, staff supervision, and quality control. This part-time position is ideal for a candidate with strong floor care experience, leadership abilities, and a proactive mindset. You’ll be responsible for overseeing cleaning crews, conducting inspections, training new hires/staff , and supporting operational needs across multiple commercial sites such as schools, dealerships, and offices.
This is a physically active role that requires travel between job locations, a commitment to quality standards, and the ability to take initiative. You will act as a bridge between field operations and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee specialized floor care tasks: strip & wax, scrubbing, buffing, carpet cleaning.
- Conduct quality control inspections and site walk-throughs to ensure service standards are met.
- Supervise evening cleaning crews and assist with staffing coordination.
- Train and onboard new employees on proper floor care/cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Address and document any issues on-site, reporting directly to the operations team.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Provide fill-in support at sites when team members are unavailable.
- Communicate scheduling needs, updates, and recommendations to leadership.
- Enforce safety standards and company procedures across all sites.
- Maintain inspection logs and simple administrative reports as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have floor technician experience (strip/wax/buffing required).
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Able to lift 40+ lbs and operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle last-minute changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Solid understanding of commercial cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Familiarity with administrative tools for checklists, logs, or reporting.
- Leadership mindset and experience guiding small teams.
Work Conditions:
- Evening shifts; flexible scheduling possible within a 8-hour nightly window.
- Work is split between on-site supervision, hands-on, and team support.
- Travel required between local sites (mileage reimbursed separately or gas card).
- May involve weekend or emergency fill-in shifts on occasion.
- This is a physically active role, including standing for long periods and handling equipment.
