Schedule: 32 hours per week, with days of the week varying between Monday – Friday

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.

  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. 

  • Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. 

  • Documents patient care given.

  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. 

  • Maintains examination areas.

  • Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

 

Required Skills: 

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

 

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • A graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent is required.

 

Required Licenses/Certification: 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • The following certifications are required: CCMA, CMA, or RMA.
