Gallatin River Child Care is currently seeking candidates for a Onsite Childcare Manager.


Position Overview

The Onsite Childcare Manager oversees the daily operations of an organization’s childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. This role combines leadership, compliance, staff supervision, and family engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a structured daily schedule that supports children’s development
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
  • Supervise and support childcare staff and professional development
  • Staff Oversite (coordinate staff meetings, on-going training, PR, support staff scheduling)
  • Report to Directors
  • Manage coverage of staffing ratios 
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local childcare licensing regulations (annual renewal & upkeep of student documents)
  • Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Oversee emergency preparedness plans and drills
  • Build strong relationships with families
  • Coordinate maintenance repairs
  • Conduct tours for prospective parents and families


Skills and Competencies

  • Continued education towards a CDA
  • 5+ years of childcare experience, including lead roles
  • Knowledge of childcare licensing regulations
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Level 3 on the MTECP registry
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
