Laser Operator-2nd Shift

2nd Shift Laser Operator-Starting pay of $22.50 per hour.  (Includes a $2.00 shift differential).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

•    Operates the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery uses in the production process or assists other machine operators.

•    Has an understanding of laser machine operation, differences between cutting various alloys, and gauge of material.

•    Performs regular maintenance on the machine.

•    Programs, downloads, and edits console as required. Verifies the measurement of cut materials.

•    Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

•    Works in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities. 

•    Follows all safety rules and quality standards. 

•    Follows all company rules and policies. 

•    Upholds all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Machine operation experience strongly desired

•    Requires the ability to program, download, and edit console as required.

•    Ability to verify the measurement of cut materials.

•    Mechanical aptitude required.

•    Must have good communication, organizational, and cross-training skills.

•    Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, and Brass.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 40lbs with or without accommodations.
