JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

  • The objective of the Technical Support Representative (TSR) is to resolve customer service issues, including firearms technical and repair inquiries and consumer-direct retail customer issues. The TSR may also assist the consumer by providing information that will aid the individual in selecting/purchasing a Beretta product or provide guidance in the care and use of the product once it has been purchased.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to telephone, mail, email, involving products, services, and accessories. 
  • Make recommendations as to the type of firearms/ammunition to be purchased or used. 
  • Provide upsell / parts advise to customers with add on parts and services.
  • Assist customers in returning firearms for repair by providing shipping, packing and other instructions. 
  • Assist with the processing of credit orders from the e-Commerce business unit. 
  • Assist with other projects as required. 

PYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to handle and demonstrate the use of a firearm. 
  • Ability to receive, login and transport firearms to the service department.  
  • Work is performed in a professional group office environment with potential requirements of performing duties in a warehouse environment. 
  • Utilization of a PC and corporate IT resources. 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive knowledge and use of firearms strongly preferred.
  • Excellent customer communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate, communicate and resolve issues that involve other company departments and communicate the resolution back to the customer.

EXPERIENCE\EDUCATION

  • Minimum of 1-year customer service experience
  • Experience with the function/handling of firearms and ammunition strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience with the sporting goods industry.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Gunsmithing experience preferred
