Introduction:

Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO). 

 

Role Overview: 

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and managing a broad range of human resources functions to ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations across multiple locations. The HR Generalist will provide guidance on HR policies, talent acquisition, performance management processes, and compliance matters.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Preferred: Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Preferred: Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Including Word and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements in NM/CO


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Process new hires, employee status changes, terminations and personnel updates within ADP WFN
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documents, and HRIS data
  • Manage full cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, assessment administration, offer letter preparation, and hiring support
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment and administer employee benefits and leave programs, including processing qualifying life events and managing eligibility requirements for FMLA, ADA accommodations, COBRA, and Workers’ Compensation
  • Provide administrative support for disciplinary processes by preparing and using standard templates, and scanning signed disciplinary documentation to personnel files
  • Generate monthly attendance reports, monitor attendance compliance according to company policy, and communicate attendance concerns to supervisors for appropriate action.
  • Reconcile health insurance invoices against enrollment records and assist with the resolution of billing discrepancies
  • Create and distribute monthly company newsletter by gathering content, coordinating updates, and ensuring timely publication.
  • Setup users in Talent LMS for employee training, onboarding, and compliance training. Administer employee learning ensuring timely enrollment, completion tracking, and accurate training records
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing data, timekeeping records and benefit changes in ADP WFN
  • Prepare and manage OSHA 300 reporting and other required compliance reporting
  • Assist with performance management processes and HR projects as assigned
  • Safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory duties.

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This role requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching (including above shoulder level), gripping, and carrying. Employees must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and manipulate objects, as well as perform keyboarding tasks. Climbing stairs is required. The position requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. Work conditions may include exposure to dust. The employee must have adequate visual acuity, including near and far vision and depth perception, to safely perform job duties.

Work Hours and Environment:

This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. 


Employment with Gallup Welder Supply is on an at-will basis. This means that either the employee or the Company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, in accordance with applicable New Mexico law.
