Job Description:

To provide professional and administrative coordination of human resource and financial management activities.

 

Job Duties:

Administrative 

  • Responsible for Human Resources procedures related to employee appointment and maintenance transactions. This includes but is not limited to the following: 
  • Review and process Employment Authorization Forms. 
  • Review and process the following transactions, including but not limited to: new hires, transfers, reclassifications, status changes, salary changes, separations, and leaves of absence. 
  • Open and maintain complete/accurate files. 
  •  Update/maintain faculty database, if applicable. 
  •  Review and process Memorandums of Appointment, if applicable. 
  •  Ensure compliance with UT System Regents Rules. 
  •  Serve as liaison to staff in other entity processing units, Human Resources, Payroll, and other support areas. 
  • Interacts with customers toward effective problem resolution and assists with questions regarding policies, procedures, and operations of the entity. 
  • Prepares reports as requested for institutional and/or external reporting purposes. 
  • In the School of Medicine, coordinate, verify and submit the AAMC Faculty Salary Survey and all Faculty Roster information. 
  • Complete annual surveys and run reports as needed. 
  • Identifies operational problems and implements changes to provide solutions.
     

 

Budget 

  • Coordinate information to support the institutional/departmental budget and planning process. 
  •  Maintains departmental reconciliation and analysis of commitments made through the entity.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Standard office environment

Salary Range:  Actual salary commensurate with experience or range if discussed and approved by hiring authority.
