Internal Job Title: Senior Accountant
Onsite, Home Office Location Options: League City, TX; or Houston, TX (local focus; with no anticipated travel requirements)

We are looking for a General Senior Accountant to help strengthen a growing, centralized accounting department. This individual contributor role will own key close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations and help establish clear processes and documentation to improve accuracy and timeliness.

What you will do
- Prepare and process full-cycle journal entries with strong supporting documentation and attention to controls
- Perform and maintain timely, accurate balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and deadlines
- Support internal and external reporting deliverables and related reporting packages (as applicable)
- Help establish, document, and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures
- Work independently with limited oversight—taking direction and driving work through completion with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines

What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting (or equivalent professional experience, considered)
- Professional accounting experience (this role is not intended for entry-level candidates)
- Hands-on close experience including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
- Knowledge of GAAP and experience supporting financial reporting requirements (or closely related reporting responsibilities)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and maintain high accuracy
- Ability to take instruction, operate in a fast-growing environment, and help build/standardize processes
- ERP system experience
