Upscale Dining Server Assistant

Monarch Restaurant at The Grand Galvez is seeking a professional, polished, and hospitality-minded Server Assistant to support the service team in delivering an elevated dining experience.

The Server Assistant plays an essential role in maintaining the flow of service by assisting servers, maintaining the dining room, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring tables are properly prepared and presented throughout the guest experience.

The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, dependable, and understands that exceptional service requires teamwork, urgency, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist servers in providing efficient and polished table service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables throughout service.
• Clear and reset tables promptly while maintaining upscale service standards.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables accurately and professionally.
• Assist with pre-bussing tables throughout the guest experience.
• Refill water and assist with other non-alcoholic beverage service as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and side stations.
• Ensure silverware, glassware, plates, napkins, and other service items are properly stocked.
• Assist servers with table maintenance and guest requests.
• Communicate guest needs and requests promptly to the appropriate server or manager.
• Assist with running food from the kitchen to the dining room while maintaining proper presentation.
• Help maintain proper service flow during busy periods.
• Support the team with opening and closing duties.
• Maintain awareness of guest activity and anticipate needs whenever possible.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor throughout the shift.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
