Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient bus routes and schedules, ensuring on-time student pick-up and drop-off.
- Driver Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for bus drivers, communicating route updates and navigating traffic or weather-related issues.
- Emergency Response: Handle transportation emergencies such as accidents or delays, dispatching assistance promptly and informing relevant stakeholders.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers, school officials, and parents to address any concerns or changes.
- Fleet Monitoring: Use GPS and dispatch software to track bus locations, ensuring adherence to routes and schedules.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation operations comply with relevant student transportation regulations.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document routes, driver assignments, and any incidents for reporting and analysis.
- Continuous Improvement: Work with transportation managers to enhance routing efficiency and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred to effectively communicate with families, drivers, and staff.

Starting rate of $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
