Summary:
The candidate will work individually, and as part of the facility鈥檚 team, and will provide Field Operations and Plant personnel with process safety and operational integrity support. Assist the West Texas region with OSHA and EPA regulated facilities with managing, coordinating, and implementing all fourteen (14) elements of the PSM standard and the additional requirements of the EPA鈥檚 Risk Management Plan (RMP) to verify and ensure regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Be able to prepare and present PSM/RMP related training material and information at both small and large group meetings.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Promote a process safety culture by taking a leadership position to drive improvements in the PSM/RMP programs
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrate leadership in associated day-to-day compliance activities and in employee meetings.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide support, serve as a team member and be able to facilitate process hazard analysis as directed.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide support as requested on mechanical integrity activities and associated documentation聽聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide support for OSHA and EPA inspections of the PSM and RMP programs, respectively.聽 聽 聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide support and guidance to operations, maintenance, and engineering for PSM/RMP compliance activities at a corporate, local, or regional level
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Monitor regulatory action for the PSM and RMP regulations and develops summaries and communicates changes to affected stakeholders.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices for process safety/risk management and liaisons with operations and engineering staff on implementing best practices in the field.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provides support and oversight of corporate PSM/RMP related capital projects
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conduct and serve as a team member of various corporate PSM/RMP audits and provide oversight in each region鈥檚 self-assessment program.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide oversight and participate on incident investigation teams as directed.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide support in the development of facility specific emergency response plans.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other PSM related activities assigned by management.
Essential Requirements
Experience, Educational & Special Training Required:聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 HS graduate as a minimum (Environmental, Engineering or Technical Degree preferred and 6+ years of relevant work experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Candidate must have demonstrated (verifiable work reference) initiative and the ability to work with limited direct oversight
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must be formally trained in or be willing to complete such training in facilitating PHAs in addition to PSM Auditing and RMP Submission
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Possess a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and ability to work effectively with changing priorities.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Adhere to high ethical standards, function effectively as a team player, and lead others to do the same.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with changing priorities and deadlines.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Able to interface efficiently with internal clients and suppliers.
