CNC Machine Operator

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
• Training: 1 week on 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Job Term: Temp to Hire

Position Summary:

The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for operating, programming, and troubleshooting CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. This role requires strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to support continuous process improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CNC lathes to manufacture precision components
• Perform CNC setup and make program adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and quality
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and implement corrective solutions
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve designs and machining efficiency
• Support and train junior machinists on best practices and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company quality and safety standards

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience with strong CNC lathe expertise required
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CNC machine setup
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
