Construction Warehouse Assistant

Inland Engineering Services, Inc (IES) is an engineering and construction company, successful in business since 2007. IES specializes in excavation, backhoe trenching, directional drilling, aerial fiber optic placement just to name a few services that we provide. We are looking for a warehouse assistant for our San Bernardino facility, that has the desire to be a part of a winning team and growing company with many opportunities.   

OVERVIEW: 

 
Coordinates the warehouse inventory, aids support in material audits, aids support while updating warehouse data base. Loads orders onto trucks, aid in the organization of incoming stock and properly labeling incoming and outgoing material.    

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:  

• Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas. 
• Maintain item records and utilize reports for warehouse material status. 
• Ensure shipments, materials received and inventory accuracy. 
• Schedule pick up of materials at client’s warehouse facilities. 

• Accurately and clearly labels containers or shelves to properly identify all materials. 
• Aids in the monthly inventory by conducting monthly physical counts. 
• Fulfill and stage material orders as needed by Construction. 
• Keep IES inventory levels (min-max) accurate. 
• Check in and out equipment or tools. 

• Ensure compliance with OSHA procedures and practices. 
• Keep IES yard organized and clean. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 
• Must maintain warehouse compliance with OSHA regulations and practices.  

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Valid and Clean California Driver's License required.  
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions. 
• Computer literate. 
• Strong attention to detail. 
• Motivated, hard-working and dependable; attendance and punctuality are very important. 

• Able to perform repetitive and manual tasks on a consistent basis. 
• Dependable 
• Must be a competent driver  
• Bi-Lingual (English Spanish) is a plus. 
• Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION 

• High School diploma or GED. 
• 1 year of construction experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

• Ability to stand, squat, bend at the knees or waist, crawl for long period of time. 
• Forklift operation for loading or unloading material 
• Work outside in varying weather conditions and/or extreme temperatures to complete warehouse tasks. 
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing. 
• Confined space certified. 

• Must be physically able of loading and unloading of materials and tools
