Position Title: Culinary Service Assistant

Department: Culinary

Reports to: Culinary Services Director

Position Information: Full Time, 6a-2:30p or 10:30a-6:30p including every other weekend and every other holiday

Position Description

Performs a variety of tasks to ensure residents receive timely, attractive, high quality, satisfying food and snacks.

Essential Functions

1. Follow oral directions.

1. Follow written directions

1. Set up trays and tables

1. Serve in dining room

1. Serve on tray line

1. Serve trays

1. Bus trays

1. Pour and cover beverages

1. Assistingin preparing and covering food

1. Clean work area

1. Assistin proper care and use of kitchen equipment

1. Attend in-service training programs for Food Service/Culinary staff

1. Work in other Hospitality areas, such as Housekeeping and Laundry, when called upon to do so

1. Observe infection control procedures related to the Culinary/Dining Services Department

1. Always Follow Residents’ Rights policies

1. Understand therapeutic diets

1. Follow facility safety programs

1. Come to work as scheduled and consistentlydemonstratedependability and punctuality

1. Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner

1. Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook

1. Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly,courteousand helpful manner

1. Meet meal schedules

1. Understand andcomply withthe Corporate Compliance Program

1. Perform other related duties as assigned bythe supervisor.
