Production Supervisor– Chemical Manufacturing

Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily production activities within the Making department to ensure production, quality, safety, and inventory objectives are achieved. This role oversees production teams, monitors manufacturing processes, supports production planning, and drives continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate production teams to achieve production targets and operational goals.
  • Verify material availability, production line readiness, and execution of production schedules in collaboration with the Planning department.
  • Generate production shift reports and monitor production performance.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to support weekly production planning and inventory activities.
  • Recommend schedule adjustments based on production capacity to optimize efficiency and customer service.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team on inventory management and material rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and proper use of PPE.
  • Promote continuous improvement, productivity, quality, and operational excellence.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Industrial, Mechanical or Related Engineering will be a plus.

Specific Knowledge:

  • High-volume manufacturing processes.
  • SAP system experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • FIFO inventory management.
  • Material handling documentation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Windows and Wonderware software is a plus
