We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilledĀ Server Systems Configuration TechnicianĀ to join our team. This role is responsible for rebuilding, configuring, staging, and testing enterprise server hardware prior to deployment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with rack-mounted servers, storage systems, and high-performance AI infrastructure platforms such as Dell and NVIDIA-based systems. This position requires strong technical aptitude, precision, and the ability to follow structured build processes in a fast-paced lab or warehouse environment.Ā 


Responsibilities

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Rebuild, refurbish, and configure enterprise-grade servers to customer specificationsĀ 
  • Disassemble and reassemble rack-mounted servers including component replacement and upgradesĀ 
  • Configure AI and GPU-based servers, including Dell PowerEdge platforms and NVIDIA GPU systemsĀ 
  • Install and configure GPUs (A100, H100, RTX series, etc.), high-capacity RAM,Ā NVMeĀ storage, and RAID arraysĀ 
  • Perform BIOS, iDRAC, firmware, and system controller updatesĀ 
  • Install and configure operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, RHEL, or CentOS)Ā 
  • Configure RAID controllers, storage arrays, and network interfacesĀ 
  • Conduct hardware diagnostics, stress testing, and burn-in testing for validationĀ 
  • Verify GPU recognition, driver installation, and CUDA/NVIDIA software stack configurationĀ 
  • Perform cable management and rack integrationĀ 
  • Image systems and apply standardized deployment templatesĀ 
  • Document hardware configurations, serial numbers, asset tags, and testing resultsĀ 
  • Troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues and replace defective componentsĀ 
  • Follow ESD safety protocols and hardware handling standardsĀ 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on custom AI server builds and performance requirementsĀ 

Qualifications

Required QualificationsĀ 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’sĀ degree in IT or related field preferred)Ā 
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building or configuring enterprise serversĀ 
  • Experience working with Dell PowerEdge or similar enterprise hardware platformsĀ 
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA GPU hardware and AI server environmentsĀ 
  • Working knowledge of Linux server environmentsĀ 
  • Understanding of RAID configurations, storage technologies (SAS, SATA,Ā NVMe), and networking fundamentalsĀ 
  • Ability to interpret technical build sheets and hardware diagramsĀ 
  • Strong troubleshooting and hardware diagnostic skillsĀ 
  • Ability toĀ lift upĀ to 50Ā lbsĀ and work in a warehouse, lab, or rack environmentĀ

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Experience with AI infrastructure or high-performance computing (HPC) systemsĀ 
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or similar certificationĀ 
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware,Ā Proxmox, Hyper-V)Ā 
  • Familiarity with CUDA, NVIDIA drivers, and GPU firmware updatesĀ 
  • Experience performing server refurbishments or asset recovery projectsĀ
