Shipping Team Lead

Supports the Warehouse Supervisor and Supply Chain team in ensuring Finished Goods are shipped safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. This role is responsible for coordinating daily shipping activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and leading Shipping forklift drivers to meet operational and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures dock safety and forklift driver performance by enforcing Safety, Quality, and Warehouse standards and procedures
  • Confirms Production Orders with the Quality and Production teams
  • Completes decoupling of Super Sacks needed for Production Orders and Packing lines
  • Posts and maintains Production Order information within KDC and P&G SAP systems
    Prepares and shares daily Load Goals with internal and external business partners
    Maintains communication with Management, Finance, Production, Quality, P&G, and carriers as needed
  • Prepares shipping paperwork and assigns daily workloads to Shipping forklift drivers
    Creates Picking Lists in SAP and Bills of Lading within the P&G SAP portal
    Posts Picking Lists and shipment confirmations in SAP systems
    Leads, coaches, and oversees Shipping forklift drivers to ensure daily shipping goals are achieved
  • Responds promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
    Updates and maintains Shipping Logs within the Plant common drive
    Maintains both hard copy and digital shipment documentation and load pictures
    Provides bihourly shipping updates to the Supply Chain management team
    Troubleshoots and resolves missed scans, missing locations, and missing pallet issues
  • Maintains inventory accuracy within Warehouse operations and SAP systems
    Communicates and escalates operational roadblocks and shipping constraints to

management to avoid shipment delays or cancellations
Supports cross-functional operations and adapts to changing business priorities as needed

Experience:

  • 3+ years of Logistics or Warehouse experience
  • Prior experience supervising or leading high-performance teams preferred

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 

Specific Knowledge:

  • Advanced experience generating Shipping Schedules
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP transactions
  • Experience creating packing lists and Bills of Lading
  • Deep knowledge of cycle counting processes
  • Experience invoicing external business partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
