Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Operations in Garner, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and maintain clear access records. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and guests. Pay Rate: $19.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access for personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with established site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter while reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
