About the Role:

Washler Garbage & Recycling is looking for a friendly and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our team in Garrett, IN! In this role, you'll be the voice of our company — helping customers with their service needs and keeping our community clean and connected. Responsibilities:

Answer inbound customer calls, emails, and inquiries regarding garbage and recycling services
Process new service requests, account changes, and service cancellations
Resolve customer complaints and service issues in a timely and professional manner
Schedule and coordinate pickups, route changes, and special collection requests
Maintain accurate customer account records and data entry in company systems
Communicate service updates, billing information, and recycling guidelines to customers
Collaborate with drivers and operations staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

Prior customer service, call center, or administrative experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry
Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Patient, empathetic, and solutions-oriented demeanor
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in waste management, utilities, or a service-based industry is a plus
