The essential job functions and responsibilities include the following:
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting furniture products that meet their needs and preferences
- Provide customers with product information, features, and benefits, as well as pricing and payment options
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends and product releases
- Conduct product demonstrations and answer customer questions to facilitate the buying process
- Work with the management team to achieve sales targets and ensure the smooth operation of the store or showroom
- Process sales transactions and discuss financing options
- Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure their satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns
- Assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the appearance of the store or showroom
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail sales, preferably in the furniture or home décor industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales skills and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Knowledge of furniture products, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
Work hours:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
- Physical ability to lift and move furniture products, as well as stand for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and reaching to retrieve items

Salary-Draw Against Commission:
This structure provides a base salary or hourly wage, along with a commission on sales. The base salary is essentially an advance against future commissions, and once the employee's commission earnings exceed the base salary, they receive the excess as additional income.
