Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations across all production areas within IFAB. This role ensures that production goals are met safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. The supervisor will provide leadership to production teams, coordinate workflows, resolve operational issues, and promote continuous improvement throughout the production floor. This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to effectively supervise multiple workstations and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Oversight

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities across all production stations.
  • Ensure production schedules, targets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust assignments to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Confirm proper staffing and resource allocation based on production needs.

2. Process Management

  • Ensure all production processes are followed according to procedures, specifications, and drawings.
  • Verify the correct use of materials, tools, and equipment at each station.
  • Support team members with troubleshooting and process-related questions.

3. Quality Control

  • Ensure all products meet IFAB's quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of production workstations.
  • Address quality issues immediately and coordinate corrective actions with the Quality department.

4. Workforce Leadership

  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and guidance to production employees.
  • Train new team members on processes, safety procedures, and production expectations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.

5. Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure employees follow proper procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
  • Report incidents and address safety concerns promptly.

6. Production Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation of production output, downtime, labor hours, and scrap.
  • Ensure production logs, checklists, and forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate production updates and issues to the Operations Manager and other departments.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives and support implementation of new procedures.
  • Suggest improvements related to equipment, layout, and workflow optimization.

8. Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate production needs, issues, and priorities promptly.
  • Provide support to other supervisors and departments when needed.

9. Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager or leadership team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple production areas simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and motivate team members.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and quick decision-making.
