Job Description

Responsible for managing all shift operations emphasizing on personnel safety, product quality, schedule execution to achieve production efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees. 
  • Have the authority to stop production when safety, quality, or personnel are at risk. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, SOPs, work instructions, and company procedures. 

  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. 

  • Manage shift operations to meet the production schedule. 

  • Monitor manpower, equipment, and materials to achieve production goals. 

  • Ensure product quality meets specifications. 

  • Train, coach, and develop production employees. 

  • Handle employee performance and workplace issues professionally. 

  • Approve attendance and PTO according to company policy. 

  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles. 

  • Maintain accurate ERP/SAP production records. 

  • Promote and sustain 5S and housekeeping standards. 

  • Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse to remove production barriers. 

Performance Expectations 

  • Achieve zero recordable safety incidents. 

  • Meet daily production schedules and customer delivery commitments. 

  • Maximize OEE while minimizing downtime. 

  • Reduce scrap, rework, and waste. 

  • Maintain high product quality with zero customer defects. 

  • Develop a cross-trained, engaged, and accountable workforce. 

  • Resolve problems at the lowest possible level before escalating. 

  • Use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement. 

  • Improve productivity, efficiency, and operating costs. 

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications/Experience/Education: 

 

  • Education required:  High school diploma or GED 

  • Experience required:  6 months to 2 years previous related manufacturing experience. Minimum 6-month Team Leader Experience 

  • Professional license or certificate requirements:  none 

  • Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required:  Working knowledge of the metric system, mechanical skills and employee relations experience
