Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Heavy Loader / Unloader to join our Paint Line team on 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for loading and unloading metal parts before and after the painting process, moving materials throughout the production area, and ensuring parts are properly handled to maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a warm manufacturing environment, performing repetitive physical tasks, and safely handling metal components weighing up to 40 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload metal parts from paint line racks, conveyors, and carts.
  • Hang and remove metal components before and after the painting process.
  • Inspect parts for proper placement, damage, or quality concerns.
  • Safely move carts, racks, and materials throughout the production area.
  • Lift, push, pull, and handle metal parts weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Maintain production flow by ensuring parts are continuously available for the paint process.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE requirements.
  • Work efficiently in a warm manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S standards.
  • Communicate any issues related to parts, equipment, or production delays to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat exposure.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Good attendance and reliability.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials.
  • Ability to work around paint line equipment and production machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
