Sonic Summary

The position involves maintaining the security of the building, grounds, and individuals under the supervision of the Security Supervisor.
Candidates must have a minimum of a high school education and a valid NYS driver's license free of violations.
A NYS Security Guard Registration is required, along with completion of an 8-hour pre-assignment training, with preferred certifications including a 16-hour Security Guard course and CPI obtained within 90 days of hire.
Previous security experience is preferred, along with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
The salary for this position is not specified, but candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to handle confidential information and travel to multiple locations.

Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor, performs duties which help to maintain the security of the building, grounds, and all persons therein. Provides patient observations as ordered by a physician.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Minimum:
• High School education required.

LICENSE:
Minimum:
• Valid NYS driver's license clear of violations consistent with FLH Policy

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
• NYS Security Guard Registration, which includes completion of 8-hour pre-assignment training.
Preferred:
• 16-hour Security Guard course, CPI obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
• Previous security experience.

SKILLS:
Minimum:
• Must have a good driving history and be able to travel to multiple locations on any given day as requested.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
