Service Concepts, a MechanAir company, is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to support our service and shop operations in Genoa, IL. This role is critical to daily execution—tracking technicians, managing service tickets, ordering parts, and maintaining a safe, organized shop environment. What You’ll Do
As Logistics Coordinator, you’ll support technicians and service leadership by keeping logistics, communication, and inventory aligned with daily service demands.
Front-Line Communication & Dispatch Support
- Answer incoming calls professionally and serve as a central point of contact for technicians, customers, and vendors
- Track technician locations, job status, and availability throughout the day
- Communicate service updates, schedule changes, and customer information accurately and in real time
Service Tickets & Customer Data
- Create, update, and close service tickets in the service management system
- Enter and maintain accurate customer information, job notes, and work order documentation
- Ensure records support billing accuracy and service history
Parts Ordering & Inventory Control
- Order parts, materials, and shop supplies to support service operations
- Receive, label, store, and organize inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and coordinate with vendors and technicians to prevent downtime
Technician & Shop Logistics
- Monitor job flow and stage materials and equipment for service calls
- Support daily routing and technician productivity
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and storage areas
Equipment Handling & Safety
- Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment
- Follow OSHA general industry safety requirements and company safety policies
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or inventory discrepancies

What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, service coordination, warehouse, or shop operations
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30–60 days of hire)
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow in service or mechanical environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve scheduling or parts issues in real time
- Clear, professional communication with technicians, managers, vendors, and customers
- Proficiency with service systems, inventory tracking tools, and Excel or Google Sheets
- Safety-minded, organized, and detail-oriented
Bonus Points for:
- Experience in HVAC, mechanical, or construction service environments
- Exposure to both union and non-union operations
- Experience with service dispatch or ERP platforms (ServiceTitan, Procore, Sage, or similar)
- OSHA 10 (General Industry or Construction) or First Aid/CPR
- Readiness to grow into a Senior Logistics Coordinator or Logistics Manager role

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Overtime: Eligible at 1.5x for hours worked over 40 per week, in accordance with FLSA and Illinois law
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience, skills, and qualifications)
