Position Overview


Texas Speed & Performance is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Catalog

Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Product Specialist will play a key role in managing

and maintaining our extensive product catalog across multiple platforms. This position

involves working closely with vendors, internal teams, and our website systems to ensure

that product data, pricing, and brand information are accurate, up to date, and optimized for

sales performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Management: Add, update, and maintain product listings, descriptions, specifications, and pricing across the company’s online platforms.
  • This role requires someone comfortable working in evolving systems and figuring things out without established processes 
  • Brand Management: Add and update brand information, ensuring consistency in presentation and data accuracy.
  • Vendor Communication: Contact and coordinate with vendors to obtain and manage price files, product updates, and new releases.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales team members to provide accurate and timely product information, assisting with inquiries and product-related issues.
  • Data Management: Work extensively with Excel to organize, analyze, and import/export product and pricing data efficiently.
  • Website Maintenance: Maintain and improve the company website by ensuring products, categories, and brand pages are optimized for usability and performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline product management processes and contribute to ongoing website enhancements.
  • This role involves building and improving processes, not just following them. 
  • Manage and maintain a large and constantly changing product catalog across multiple platforms.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required for working with large datasets, pricing files, and product imports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of automotive industry terminology and components.
  • Experience working in imperfect or evolving systems is strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Automotive experience is helpful, but ability to manage and organize large product catalogs is more important.
  • Knowledge of basic website editing.
  • Familiarity with automotive performance products or aftermarket parts preferred.
  • Experience using product information management (PIM) systems such as Akeneo and ERP software such as NetSuite.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Adobe or Magento).


 Success in this role means improving product data accuracy, streamlining processes, and helping the team work more efficiently over time.
