Position Summary

A Clinic Coordinator is responsible for maintaining daily operations and overall management of the practice. This includes assigning duties, monitoring staff performance, and overseeing clinic operations. The role requires the individual to be licensed (e.g., LPN, Medical Assistant, Radiology Tech, Imaging Tech) and to actively function within their licensed capacity.

 

Reports to:

Director of Physician Practices or Practice Manager

FLSA Status:

Non-Exempt

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Medical Assistant: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred 
  • LPN: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program 
  • Radiology Tech: Associate’s degree in Radiology required 
  • Imaging Tech: High School Diploma or equivalent required 

 

License:

  • Medical Assistant: Current certification required 
  • LPN: Active LPN license required 
  • Radiology Tech: Current ARRT certification required 
  • Imaging Tech: Limited X-ray operator license or ARRT certification required 

 

Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required 

 

Required Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Capability to function effectively in a high-stress environment 
  • Ability to take appropriate and timely action 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with organizational objectives 
  • Direct and evaluate departmental operations including patient care delivery, technology use, service levels, and complaint resolution 
  • Plan and oversee staffing activities (hiring, orientation, evaluations, discipline, and education) 
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets 
  • Ensure compliance with financial and operational guidelines 
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external audits 
  • Promote a culture of professional growth and development 
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into clinical and operational processes
