CPI has an immediate need for a Document Control Specialist in CPI’s Georgetown, Texas location. As a CPI Document Control Specialist, you will create and maintain records within the company’s database management software. This includes entering part numbers from engineering drawings, creates Bills of Material, codes part numbers, enters routers, incorporates ECO changes into BOM's, and estimates material requirements.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Creates new Bills of Material (BOM’s) and maintains existing BOM’s on manufactured products. Enters new part numbers into the Item Master and maintains codes and status of parts as required. Works with planning in coordination of orders to ensure manufacturing location is accurate. Communicates closely with design engineering, manufacturing engineering and purchasing for new product and custom product development. Works with Customer Service to update sales order information on new and/or modified part numbers after part setup is complete. Works with Manufacturing Engineering on updating part manufacturing processed based on feedback provided by the Manufacturing Team. Calculate standard and manufacturing costs. Analyze cost variances and investigate discrepancies. Maintain and update customer price lists in ERP system. Coordinate document changes with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Manufacturing environment or with ERP and BOM structure. Use of database management software.  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good analytical skills and good conceptual skills. Attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and utilize multiple resources at one time. Continual improvement methods to increase the effectiveness of the organization and to fulfill its objectives.   Physical/Environmental Requirements Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and crouching.
