Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: Georgetown Plant - Georgetown, TX 78626Position Type: Full TimeAs a CPI Facility & Manufacturing Engineer Manager, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world’s digital technology. Day to day, you will provide leadership to the Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering group and develop team alignment and accountability toward the accomplishment of daily task, long-term strategic plans, and annual operating goals. Responsible for developing, coordinating, and supervising the facilities daily operations, maintenance, and security to ensure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective environment. Overseeing the ME team on technical operations, driving production efficiency, cost reduction, and process improvements. They manage engineering teams, approve equipment upgrades and design changes, and ensure quality standards. Supporting the re-engineering of manufacturing processes through Lean methodologies to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. Monitor facility and equipment performance and focus on proactive measures to mitigate unplanned downtime. Promotes culture changes by JIT, VSM, Kaizen, Setup Reduction, HIPPO, and TPM/OEE in a hands-on role. Provides manufacturing support and promotes process improvement, including delegating tasks to specifically skill team associates. Troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective actions. Researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment, including AFE and business cases. Controls the release of new processes, materials, and automation to production. Provide positive, hands-on leadership within the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance team. Essential Functions: 1. Supports ongoing growth and cost reduction Lean and corporate initiatives. 2. Leads facility infrastructure improvements. 3. Directs maintenance staff on planned and unplanned facility and equipment improvements.  4. Plans and execute qualification plans for new materials, processes and automation. 5. Plans and supervises contractors responsible for cleaning, landscaping, security, and equipment repairs. 6. Monitors and improves the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as data collection and interpretation from technical and operating personnel. 7. Prepares capital and expense budgets for Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities. 8. Executes projects to the budget plan throughout the year. 9. Assists in ensuring accurate completion of monthly operations reports, KPI’s and works with management and finance to evaluate against objectives, operating costs, and project management status. 10. Provides Engineering and Maintenance service to the shop floor and other departments. Works with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Production Control and Maintenance personnel in resolving production problems. 11. Assists in training the Manufacturing department’s set-up and operational personnel as it relates to the proper set-up and use of tooling and equipment. 12. Coaching and development of individual team members. 13. Manages facility budget, tracks on hand equipment inventory, and report facility conditions. 14. Ensures compliance with fire, health, and safety codes, including OSHA and city regulations. 15. Collaborate with engineering, product development and production on new product launch programs. Additional Functions: 1. Assists with efforts in keeping our manufacturing data current and accurate in ERP. 2. Travels to trade shows, suppliers and other CPI facilities as required. 3. Active participant on Safety Committees. 4. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Champion of Culture - Promotes respect, honesty, and integrity.   Technical Competencies: BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or other applicable field, or equivalent. Minimum of eight (8) years of applicable and diversified experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a metal fabrication environment. Minimum five (5) years of prior management/supervisory experience. In depth training and experience/implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. Experience with Six Sigma, preferably trained at a green or black belt level. Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety requirements preferred. High aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting. Experience managing facility-related activities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and ERP systems.     PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to travel domestically 25-50%.
