About the Role:
NBC Orthodontics Incorporated is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join their growing team in Georgetown, TX! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled orthodontic professionals in a patient-focused environment where every day you help create confident, beautiful smiles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient examinations, adjustments, and orthodontic procedures
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances including brackets, wires, and elastics
- Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions/digital scans
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care for orthodontic appliances
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment per infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Prior dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and dental radiography
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant certification a plus
- Current X-ray certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first, friendly demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
